Veterinarians are always in high demand and each year our Veterinary Schools are graduating approximately 1,000 veterinarians to cope with these growing demands.
Recently, veterinary schools in Australia have faced enormous challenges with the Veterinary Education System, and at every campus there is work being done to reshape how our veterinary schools will look in the future. This has created a sense of uncertainty for our student member population and has raised several questions from the profession.
AVA’s Student Group Chair, Jacqueline Brew and Professor Nigel Perkins, Head of School at University of Queensland Veterinary School will discuss some of the challenges and future directions for Veterinary Education in Australia, and delegates will have the chance to participate in live Q&A.
